Dear Speaker Pelosi

We, especially you and the U.S. Congress, must ensure that our troops are safe, that they have the best and latest tools in the war on terrorism, and that they ultimately come home alive and well after their job is completed successfully.

To that end, please be sure to keep your more radical Democrat colleagues (i.e., Barny Fwank, et al.) in check by making certain that the photo provision is INCLUDED in the latest war funding bill. To exclude that ban gives more power to the enemy. Any clear-minded American knows that the exclusion of the ban would pour fuel on the fire that drives the terrorists.

You and Congress have the responsibility of protecting our troops by providing them with the tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. If you allow that bill to pass without the photo ban provision, you are endangering out troops. It is completely unthinkable to pass a bill that gives our troops tools while at the same time emboldening the enemy and giving them tools, as well.

If that bill passes with the photo ban included, you should be commended for your help in protecting our troops, and ultimately America. If it passes without the photo ban, it will be on your shoulders and would show Americans, the majority of whom support protecting our troops, that you cannot control radical ideologues in your own party and, therefore, you do not deserve the seat you currently hold.

Consider this bill very carefully and think about our troops, emotion and politics aside.

Sincerely,

A concerned and caring relative of a deployed troop
