The Heritage Foundation - Intelligence for Everyone from True Patriots

I firmly believe the Heritage Foundation knows what it's talking about and, yes, I agree with their conservative ideologies. (Same goes for the Cato Institute...) The country kicked arse during the Reagan years and one of his big sources for guidance in many political and policy matters was the Heritage Foundation. Margaret Thatcher believed strongly in Heritage's work, as well, and she was arguably one of the best PM's England had.

But, whatever those organizations preach or believe, I believe these things:

- Limit government
- Rule of law
- Personal responsibility
- Strong defense
- Free markets/capitalism
- Sovereignty but not isolationism

Conservatism, as I use the term, does NOT mean that I am unwilling to change. On the contrary, I believe strongly that we must adapt constantly in certain aspects or we'll suffer the same fate as Rome. If we become complacent, we dissolve into the background of history. What's the point in caring or moving forward if there isn't a purpose for your very existence?

At the same time, there are universal principles that I believe are unchanging. Basic human rights, laws, and morality... When we compromise principles we lose purpose. Liberals believe everything is open to interpretation and "living and breathing" when it comes to principles, which is contrary to the definition of a principle. I call it wishy-washy and candy-ass. But, that's just me.

When we have no purpose, what's the sense in obeying laws or working together for the good of a nation? Every little bit that a legislate-from-the-bench, liberal judge (how does one spell, "Sotomayor?") eats away from the Constitution, they weaken or water down the Law of the Land. Every time they "let something slide," as it pertains to the law, they weaken the fabric that has bound this country together solidly for over 200 years. Conservatives, by my definition, do not agree with letting things slide when it comes to law. Liberals, on the other hand, are too insecure and worried about what people think about them that they would prefer to look the other way and "let it go just this once" than to stand up for what's correct or proper or moral.

The world is like the Wild West, still. Back then, if you weren't strong or tough or if you didn't stand your ground, you were run over or killed. There has to be some level of commitment to principles and we'll slowly lose it if we bend to liberal policies or ideologies. Liberal policies are about ass-kissing, not protecting what is important. The world, today, is still not a completely safe and decent place, sadly. There are still people who want what we have or who simply hate us for what we believe. Our top priority should be to ensure our own safety and security and, therefore, our posterity. Our kids and grandkids deserve what we have. If we compromise on anything, future generations lose more of that which so many have worked so hard (and even died) to build up.

The whole BS case with that group tracking down top-secret documents about CIA agents to expose them for "torturing" terrorists is just such an example. What the hell are they thinking? "Oh, the poor terrorists!" Seriously?!?!? Those "poor terrorists" plot to KILL US AND OUR CHILDREN. We SHOULD be beating them to a pulp trying to figure out what's going to happen next. It's horse crap that some dumb liberal nut-job broad with a chip on her shoulder about being beat up on the playground when she was a kid is trying to dig up the identities of the very people who've kept her country safe from the next attack! What part of any of that kind of action is decent or moral at all?! She should be shot for treason. Seriously!

And, one more thing... I don't believe our country has anything to apologize for, which is something that irritates the ever-living crap out of me about President Barack Hussein Obama: He apologizes for this country wherever he goes! We're already a target and in a lot of cases, it's just because we're not like someone else or that we don't believe the same things or we appear to want to take over the universe [with our superior weaponry and laser beams]. Every time he apologizes for the US, he weakens it. It's pathetic. He's a pushover.

Reagan is rolling over in his grave, right now.
